Rana Diptee is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in United States, as well as a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT).
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Toronto. Rana initially completed the Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant program at Centennial College where she developed her passion for OT and went on to earn a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from D’Youville College in New York.
Her clinical experiences have included positions in rehabilitation, acute, subacute, long term care, cardiac, orthopedic, and palliative care. She has worked with infant to adult clients developing creative treatment plans for overall strengthening and coordination, fine/gross motor skills, social and community engagement, improved sensory processing, self-regulation skills and self-care training based on person-centered goals.
Rana also has experience working with the Toronto Network of Specialized Care supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health/behavioral challenges.
Rana has always been committed to participating in unique educational opportunities to improve her expertise and skills both personally and professionally. She has attended training for sensory processing and self-regulation, mental health first aid, indigenous cultural competency, crisis prevention institute (CPI), and many other courses and conferences that have strengthened her therapeutic approach as a clinician.
Rana is currently an Occupational Therapist at Complex Injury Rehab and provides services to clients in clinic and the surrounding community. Her practice includes assessments of attendant care needs, home safety assessments, and comprehensive physical, cognitive and psychosocial assessments. She also develops personalized treatment plans in collaboration and coordination with multidisciplinary professionals, clients, and their caregivers/families.
