Lorie Ann Tirone is a Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. In addition, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Toronto. She has been a guest facilitator and evaluator at McMaster University School of Rehabilitation Occupational Therapy Program.
Lorie Ann has over 14 years of experience working with adults and older adults in various settings including hospitals and in community. She is skilled at completing comprehensive assessments to identify functional limitations resulting from physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments, including assessments of attendant care needs, home safety assessments, and discharge planning assessments. In her practice she also provides treatment to individuals recovering from various medical conditions including acquired brain injury, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal injuries, amputations, and chronic pain.
Lorie Ann is committed to continuing education with a special interest in acquired brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation. She has completed Level 1 & 2 certification training in Neurorehabilitation at Brock University and she is a Certified BrainFx Administrator (CBA) for the BrainFx 360 Assessment. She provides services to clients in Burlington, Hamilton, Niagara and surrounding areas.
