Lori is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McGill University. She has also completed a certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining Complex Injury Rehab, Lori worked at University Health Network’s Toronto Rehabilitation Institute’s Lyndhurst Centre in The Brain and Spinal Cord Program as an in-patient social worker and has extensive experience working with individuals and families who have been impacted by catastrophic injury and trauma. She began her career working as hospital social worker at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the Long Term and Veteran’s Care Directorate.
With Complex Injury Rehab, Lori provides case management for individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries and counselling to people with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss.
In her clinical work, Lori draws on an eclectic framework to provide client-centered counselling support which includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
