Fernanda Lara Peralta is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). She obtained her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and later obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University. She practices in both English and Spanish.
In her practice, Ms. Lara Peralta has expertise providing rehabilitation services to children, youth, and adults in various settings, including hospitals and in the community. She has experience providing services in the areas of neurological rehabilitation, anxiety and depression symptom management, and comprehensive physical, cognitive, and psychosocial assessments. She has completed extra training in concussion management, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, suicide prevention training, Gentle Persuasive Approaches in Dementia Care (GPA), and Handwriting Without Tears. Her goal is to facilitate clients’ engagement in meaningful activities while prioritizing collaboration, advocacy, and client-centeredness.
